This week, the most Loved item on the AnOther Loves stream was a collection of Maison Martin Margiela Bottle Lamps posted by AnOther's Commissioning Editor Laura Bradley. A timely choice, as the Maison is moments away from revealing its A/W11 collection in Paris. The lamps are from Margiela's '13' objects line, first launched in 1999, which broadens the house's longstanding fashion remit to encompass homewear, and is is part of the global project of interior design and architecture that Maison Martin Margiela is developing for the near future (Hotel Margiela – watch this space). Under the theme of 'White Objects', the lamps were part of a collection including cotton calendars, a snow globe and trompe l'œil door stickers. The bottles bear the trademark Margiela aesthetic: white, a bit battered, with a blank label and the inner workings exposed. The ultimate recycling concept, the intriguing design makes use of old wine and liquor bottles, their labels faded in white with simple cotton shades. Here, Laura explains her choice, her love of the iconic brand and reveals her recent shopping habits.

What made you choose the bottle lamps and where would you display them?
They put a smile on my face – they're the kind of purchase my mother would say, "you actually paid money for those?!". I'd put them in my living room, next to a large vase of hydrangeas.

Do you own or wish to own any other Maison Martin Margiela items?
Yes, from the days when Martin was at the helm. My favourites are a pair of Replica black patent court shoes and a black silk collar from the S/S07 collection; on of my favourite collections in MMM history. I love the oversized keyring which was shown at the recent Margiela '20' exhibition but it's sadly not been reproduced for sale. I always regret not buying a pearl ring I spotted in the (now defunct) Bruton Place store a few years ago.

What do you find most appealing about the products?
Their simplicity and humour.

What was the last thing you bought?
A laser pen for my cat. Less said about that, the better.

What would your dream purchase be?
A 60s navy blue 230 SL Mercedes.

What is your favourite online shop?
eBay for vintage Levi's and Robert Clergerie shoes and Coco de Mer's erotic book section.
