“You can always tell what kind of a person a man really thinks you are by the earrings he gives you,” were the wise words of Audrey Hepburn. Earlier in the year, AnOther documented a selection of piercing arrangements and earrings, which demonstrated each woman’s identity. This season piercings continue to fall under the radar, with Balmain’s dangling candle earrings in glass, inspired by the 1970s and the influential guidance of the late Paul Poiret.

Chloé models wore bejeweled ear clips; volcanic stones and crystals which tell a glittering tale of uniformity amongst her rebellious schoolgirl tribe. “ This ear cuff is a playful twist on the Chloé’s good as gold girls,” explains creative director, Clare Waight Keller. Art Deco-inspired designs in twisted three-dimensional shapes, with a nod towards the 60s mod and disco era.

Dries Van Noten featured constructed ear cuffs which complimented the glittering neck pieces and clothing. Made from a dozen irregular stones that differed depending on the shape of the ear, carefully positioned to create a flashing makeshift mosaic reminiscent of a disco ball, which acted as inspiration for the collection, alongside Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers’ 1935 film, Top Hat.
