Legendary model Susie Bick in Brighton, musician Anna Calvi at home, illustrator Quentin Jones in her studio, and park walks with models Tali Lennox and Aymeline Valade. Just some of the intimate moments captured through film and photography for Rag & Bone’s autumn/winter 2011 JEAN D.I.Y. Project, in collaboration with AnOther Website.
In this special interpretation of the project, AnOther handpicked five personalities, working within the fields of fashion, music and art, and invited them to share their private moments through a series of self-portraits edited by AnOther, Can Evgin's films, with Rag & Bone's David and Marcus. The result – five, raw and candid visual worlds that depict each girl’s unique perspective and personality.
First launched in February 2011, Rag & Bone's D.I.Y. project flips the traditional photo-shoot on its head, making the model a stylist, creative director and subject of her own work. The concept was created by Laird & Partners in collaboration with David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone. Each given the same simple remit – along with a camera and a capsule of Rag & Bone clothing – the project has seen contributions from the label's favourite girls, including Abbey Lee Kershaw, Karolina Kurkova and Sasha Pivovarova, shooting themselves in their favourite locations across the globe. For Autumn/Winter 2011, the focus is denim, and AnOther’s chosen five are seen wearing their favourite pieces from the collection in their individual style.
