Each month, AnOther's editors give their fashion recommendations for the coming month. June's highlights include Björk's world premiere of Biophilia, McQueen and Christopher Kane sample sales and Coco Chanel on stage at Sadler's Wells.
Coco at Sadler's Wells, until June 12
Originally performed by Katherine Hepburn and overseen by Gabrielle Chanel in 1969, 'Coco' at Sadler's Wells focuses on Chanel’s dilemma as a woman in her 60s trying to maintain her reign as a leading designer in the youthful world of fashion. This production at the Lilian Baylis Studio is a European premiere.
Summer begins
Meteorologists are telling us that the start of summer is officially underway, with temperatures expecting to reach 30C by the weekend. Always reflecting the mood of the moment, the AnOther Loves stream has been awash with sun-inspired products from Tom Ford and Sunpocket Original sunglasses to eye-popping swim shorts and retro swimming caps. Make your all-important summer purchases before it's too late – my tip is a cotton jumpsuit, preferably with straps and wide trousers. AnOther fashion editor Agata Belcen recommends these zip-detailed square-frame acetate sunglasses by Alexander Wang.
Tie-maker E. Marinella new boutique
June 1 sees the opening of E. Marinella's first boutique in London at 54 Maddox Street. Founded in 1914 by Don Eugenio Marinella in Napoli, the Italian brand is celebrated for its hand-made ties, which have become a symbol of traditional tailoring. Another Man editor Ben Cobb recommends, ""a seven-fold tie in woven silk – it's the ultimate in men's neck couture".
Björk at the Manchester International Festival, June 30 - July 17
It's 28 days until the world's first international festival of "original, new work and special events" kicks off in Manchester. Previous AnOther Magazine cover star Björk will be premiering her Biophilia live show during a three-week residency – six intimate shows, her first UK dates in over three years. Biophilia is a multimedia project encompassing music, apps, internet, installations and live shows, celebrating how sound works in nature, exploring the infinite expanse of the universe, from planetary systems to atomic structure. Other highlights include the show The Life and Death of Marina Abramović and an unique multimedia performance courtesy of Snoop Dogg.

This month sees sample sales of two of Britain's most celebrated designers. Starting today, the invitation-only Alexander McQueen sale runs until Saturday and promises womenswear, menswear, McQ, fabrics and accessories.
