Maison Martin Margiela: This black and white photograph of a seated audience was the starting point of the collection, where graphic elements and textures give life to an almost monochromatic colour palette. We used it as a trompe l'oeil for the set of the presentation. The importance of the picture was that it is a black and white picture with contrasts of colours – from optical white and deep black, with all shades of greys – and contrasts of definition – from clear contours to more blurred shades and shapes. We wanted to convey the abstraction of a black & white photography.
