Nobuko Tannawa is a freelance fashion stylist based in London.  She chose London-based artist Noemie Goudal's photograph Les Amants (Cascade), a haunting depiction of a waterfall made out of plastic draped through a woodland setting. We asked Nobuko to tell us about her choice, her most treasure possession and her latest thrift shop purchase...

Why did you choose Cascade?
I read an article about Noemie Goudal and I was fascinated by how she explores the relationship between organic and manmade elements through photography. I am not normally into reconstruction, but she did it so well it actually looks more beautiful than the actual waterfall!

What was the last thing you bought?
The last thing I bought was a vintage Shirin Guild cocoon coat from Oxfam.

What is your most treasured possession?
When I had to go back to Tokyo from NY at the age of 11 due to my father's work, all my classmates wrote me a letter and made it into a book. I love the beautiful green leather album that zips open with all the different childish handwritings in pencils and pens. Very nostalgic...

What's your favourite online shop?
My favourite online shop is Ebay, without a doubt. So many hidden treasures!

Noemie Goudal's work is exhibiting at the HotShoe Gallery in Farringdon until November 27.
