On day five of Milan fashion week a rather eccentric and eclectic look came down the catwalk at Marni for S/S11. Leather helmets looked like swimming caps, with tight shorts, fitted tops and heavy zips referencing scuba and cycling gear. The overall sportier look was mixed up with wild prints, ruffled dresses and laser-cut leather pieces creating varied and unusual silhouettes. A pic 'n' mix of influences could also be seen at Missoni with pieces reflecting a global array of cultures. From kaftans to kimonos prints were vivid and mismatched, appearing rather tribal and psychedelic.
