The inspiration behind Chanel’s jewellery collection for the Biennale des Antiquaires was Mademoiselle Chanel’s 1932 “Bijoux de Diamants". Their new 30-piece collection entitled  ‘Les Plumes de Chanel’, draws specifically on an oversized, beautifully intricate, diamond ‘Plume’ brooch from the original collection. The redesigned brooch – to be pinned to a lapel, in your hair or nestled over a shoulder – is faithful to the initial design, set with 24 princess-cut diamonds in white gold. Diamonds were Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite stone. She famously said, “If I have chosen diamonds, it is because they represent the greatest value in the smallest volume.”
