What was your favourite Love of 2014? We pair up a selection of ours...

The world according to AnOther's Lovers is an eclectic and varied one. One week, it will be all about extreme architecture, the next the focus will be on brilliant boots, while cacti in all their forms are a common theme and a variety of very different female icons have, at one time or another, been the centre of attention. In our round up of the best Loves of 2014, we realised that there were some rather wonderful themes on the stream, a thread of commonality that has emerged over the year. So in celebration of Christmas and the dawning of a new year, here we've picked out our favourite aligning factors as well as the two Loves that illustrate them the best, headed up by the unexpectedly pink volcano that was the most Loved of the year.
