On the day of the Marques Almeida show, show stylist John Colver shares his top five London restaurants

Stylist and fashion consultant John Colver is one of London fashion week’s staple fixtures, as well as one of our favourite personalities. He works closely with Marques Almeida on all of their shows, sharing the Portugese duo’s love for 90s throwbacks and tailored eccentricities. Here we caught up with Colver to hear about his favourite places to refuel.

1. Somine, 131 Kingsland High Street, Dalston
"A 24-hour restaurant on a corner which is great for watching the world go by, spying on passers-by."

2. Il Bacio, 61 Stoke Newington Church St
"When you are spending nights in the studio, it is hard to sometimes grab something to eat that doesn't send you into a shame spiral. Il Bacio delivers great pizzas and nice salads."

3. Green Papaya, 191 Mare Street, Hackney
"This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant. It is brilliantly situated across from Marques Almeida's studio."

4. Icco, 46 Goodge St
"A bit of an NY pizza joint for when you are in town and you want something good and quick. £3.95 for a very good margherita."

5. L'Entrepôt, Dalston Lane, Hackney Downs
"A really nice, relaxed spot for dinner and meeting friends, and also ideally not far from my house."

"Saying all that, there is nothing better than going to the Turkish supermarket and cooking for friends at home!"
