To celebrate the impending arrival of new Emoji, AnOther's friends and family share their current favourites

It's July and there's something big happening this month: the arrival of a new batch of emoji. Last month, the Unicode Consortium — the organisation that sets the standards for the near-omnipresent icons we know as emoji — announced the new symbols (including a middle finger) that will appear in its 7.0 update.

To celebrate, we invited some of AnOther's favourite personalities to reveal their all-time favourite emoji, with illustrations by Olivia Domingos.
