Citing the influence of filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Miuccia Prada's A/W14 offering was a sumptuous display; intensely felt, and ripe with cinematic flourish. "It was an alarming collection," said illustrator Helen Bullock, "rich with beautiful blocks of colour and haunting figures. I felt under a dark spell when I was drawing. As if I was staring at new breed of women – part of an army set to take over the world. The lighting gave startling colour to the skin, and the contrast of fabrics and silhouettes were strong, but still elegant."
