This Monday falls happily in the middle of National Tree Week in the UK and so, to celebrate, we bring you ten of our favourite weird and wonderfully shaped trees. Some of these are miracles of nature, uncannily taking on the appearance of humans or animals; while others are trimmed or skillfully grafted into incredible shapes by tree-inclined artists such as the brilliant Axel Erlandson. Either way, we hope these wonders in wood spread some much needed warmth as we delve deeper into the depths of winter.
