Conversations with leading cultural figures.
John Bock is a globally-renowned German artist whose bizarre performance-based interventions engage the audience in his uniquely surreal universe. For his current show at The Barbican he has created a strange mobile utopian living unit that recalls the post-apocalytpic humour of Spike Milligan's lesser-known classic The Bed Sitting Room. Here, he talks exclusively to AnOther about improvisation, future visions and the importance of making mistakes.

John-Paul Pryor is Contributing Arts Editor at Dazed Digital and AnOther Magazine, and writes for Dazed & Confused, TANK, AnOther and The Quietus. His debut novel Spectacles is out now.
