We present a playlist of Another Man cover star Ezra Miller's favourite songs

The latest issue of Another Man is imbued with the spirit of the new pioneer, as embodied by our cover star Ezra Miller. A precocious explorer of the hinterland beyond conventional stardom, Miller is a thrilling cinematic talent, an exciting musician with his band Sons of an Illustrious Father, and – as Glenn O’Brien discovers in the interview for the new issue – a modern thinker of the old fashioned sort, taking an active, questioning role in his understanding of the status quo. Unique, witty, thoughtful and one of few Hollywood stars who has made a trip to the Arctic, Miller is a blazing hope for the future of the celebrity – one who has stepped out of the bubble and is entirely engaged in the world at large.

So, to celebrate the release of the latest Another Man featuring this multi-faceted frontman, we asked him to create a five-song playlist. Sprawling across a classic Bowie tune, and a hypnotic folk song from the McGarrigle sisters that segues into the thump of Pick It Up by KRS One, it is an apt reflection of the many sides of this mercurial young man.

1. Oh! You Pretty Things by David Bowie

2. Lost Ones by Lauryn Hill

3. (Talk To Me Of) Mendocino by Kate & Anna McGarrigle

4. Pick It Up by Krs One

5. Aloha Ke Akua by Nahko Bear (Medicine for the People)
