This week one of the world’s most loved musicians, Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens), plays in Australia and artists young and old collaborate in an exhibition to honour the late Alice Neel. Elsewhere, rising star of jewellery Karl Fritsch takes over Deux Poissons in Tokyo, photo wunderkind Wolfgang Tillmans comes to The Serpentine, and MKII in London plays host to some of the city’s most eccentric and lively music and illustration talent. An eclectic mix of new and established talent.

What better way to open the week than with an epic concert? As universally enjoyed as The Beach Boys or David Bowie, with his poignant lyrics and soft folk music Yusuf never fails to comforts us. What better way to start another week?

Softly ushering in the rest of the week, In the Company of Alice presents a touching homage to late American artist Alice Neel. The exhibition features portraits and figurative paintings by a mix of established and emerging artists (including Chris Ofili, Yayoi Kusama and Grayson Perry) brought together by their admiration for Neel’s work.
