This Monday, our weekly dose of happiness comes in the form of these amazing classic Swedish baking recipes, presented as graphic still-life portraits of their ingredients. The pictures are from an IKEA-commissioned publication entitled Hembakat är Bäst ("homemade is best"). They were shot by photographer Carl Kleiner and his wife Evelina, who cited their influences as high fashion and Japanese minimalism, and designed by Forsman & Bodenfors. From perfect flour pyramids to canary yellow, isolated egg yolks, these innovative reimaginings prove that cooking preparation can be just as creative as the baked goods themselves.
