Every show season, there's a favoured look sported by editors; they all have different tastes and promote varied aesthetics but fascinatingly, many are attracted to the same look or garment. This season, the Prada flower wins hands down. It was a clever move by Miuccia, offering fur for spring/summer – the weather in New York, London and Milan has encouraged nothing less.

On the day of the Prada show in Milan, when show attendees will don their black, white and red flower looks, illustrator Tom Baxter presents a flower montage, incorporating the iconic Prada daisies with an archive Irving Penn image from 1967, showing the enduring appeal of the fur flower in fashion.

Tom Baxter is an illustrator currently living and working in London.
