Dazed & Confused's Fashion Director Karen Langley delivers her round up of highlights from Milan S/S13...
Before the team move on to Paris, we do our final round up of Milan Fashion Week. Here, Dazed & Confused's Fashion Director Karen Langley picks her highlights from the past few days, including animalistic shoes at Fendi, Gucci's Eastern-inspired hair and hiding behind Sharon Stone.
Shoe – The Fendi shoes were just beyond. At once futuristic and incredibly primal – like a prehistoric animal.
Model – Cara Delevigne was really funny – I wrote in my notes "camp as Christmas". She definitely enjoyed Milan more than anyone else.
Hair – Gucci's hair was just amazing. Very modern with a clear nod to Asia – slick and lacquered at the front, and twisted into a bun behind.
Make Up – I loved the stick on eyes at Fendi.
Venue – The Hogan presentation took place at the beautiful Casa degli Atellani, which has stunning murals all over the walls and ceilings.
"The Fendi shoes were at once futuristic and incredibly primal – like a prehistoric animal."
Bag – The Jil Sander handbags were perfect – minimal and clean.
Sunglasses – Gucci's were amazing in great shapes and colours.
Invitation – Definitely Prada.
Detail – The styling by Marie Chaix at Roberto Cavalli.
Music – There was no seating plan at Versus, so I couldn't see her, but Beth Ditto's performance at Versus was great. It's always brilliant having live music at shows.
Front Row Guest – I was sat right behind Sharon Stone at Fendi, so had to hide to avoid all the photographers. She actually elbowed me by accident, and turned round to apologise. All I could think was how she sounded exactly the same as in her movies!
