Who? Last night, while London continued its countdown to Friday's highly-anticipated Olympic Games' commencement, Chanel hosted an opening ceremony of its own to launch its latest venture: a pop-up beauty boutique in the heart of Covent Garden.
What? With over 50 square metres devoted entirely to the cause, the store is an unmatched emporium for Chanel beauty products, boasting a nail bar and elegant pampering space where visitors can luxuriously relinquish the task of self-beautifying. The boutique is also set to showcase a number of exclusive, limited edition items and special events during its seven-month residency, including the launch of its A/W13 collection in August, a Chanel treasure hunt in September, winter skin consultations in October and a Chanel flower stall, featuring the flowers that punctuate its famous scents, in November.

Why? The boutique – the first of its kind in Britain – opens today and will remain in situ until December. It is a must-visit for all fans of beauty visionary Peter Philips and his much sought after collections.
The Chanel Pop-Up Beauty Store is now open.
