Opening today, the exhibition showcases the work of six photographers, Christian Nyampeta, Nina van der Voorn, Nicol Vizioli, Sophie Dutton, Brownen Parker-Rhodes and AnOther contributor Emilie Lindsten, each exploring the notions of 'transition'.

Who? Six photographers, Christian Nyampeta, Nina van der Voorn, Nicol Vizioli, Sophie DuttonBrownen Parker-Rhodes and AnOther contributor Emilie Lindsten, exploring the notions of 'transition'.

What? The dictionary definition of transition is "a passage from one place, state, stage, style  or subject to another". The photographic exhibition presents the various ways in which the theme can be interpreted. Nina van der Voorn’s and Bronwen Parker-Rhodes' work is particularly intimate, focusing on changing relationship after someone passes away and the personal environments of strippers, respectively. Nicol Vizioli achieves the same result by translating his own personal memories, remembrances, instincts and desires onto film. In her Like Sand opus, Emilie Lindsten questions the role of photographs as physical objects, often relying on visions from the past to symbolise her artistic endeavours. Sophie Dutton also revitalises old objects by ingeniously converting an abandoned suitcase from the Market Estate in Islington into a functional camera and then documenting the area with it.

Why? There's no better time to witness an exploration of 'transition' – it's a theme at the forefront of our minds, as we move into brighter, longer summer days. The exhibition is also an opportunity to explore another element of Emilie Lindsten's work photographic oeuvre, who has documented London Fashion Week for AnOther for the past two seasons.

The photographs, alongside a selection of artworks, objects and prints will be on display and available for sale at the temporary For Sale Showspace until 14 April.
