Introducing the experimental art collective we all want to be friends with

On this Happy Monday, we're shining a light on one of our favourite art collectives, FriendsWithYou. Founded by Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III in 2002, the Miami-based collaborative aims to spread "the positive message of Magic, Luck, and Friendship" through a joyful blend of Japanese post pop, cartoon art, graphic design and animation. The duo's powerful installations are frequent features at international art fairs, while their ultra-colourful fine artworks have been the subject of exhibitions across the world, from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami to Colette in Paris. Whether it’s an inflatable playground, an uplifting sculpture or a cheerfully rendered photograph, FriendsWithYou take a whimsical and symbolic approach to art in an effort to spread positivity through memorable experiences of interaction in the post-Internet age. Here, we present our choice of playful images – from a huddle of beaming clouds to a kawaii hot air balloon – to get your week off to the best of starts.

Happy Monday! #anotherhappymonday
