To celebrate the release of the latest issue of AnOther Magazine, starring the glorious Michelle Williams, AnOthermag.com is hosting a fortnight of content pivoting on the issue theme of Home. Subtitled “There’s No Place Like Home”, the Spring/Summer 13 edition of AnOther talks to a host of fascinating individuals, from Raf Simons and Ai Weiwei to Countess Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, John Baldessari and Dolce & Gabanna about their different experiences of what makes their home special – whether that be their house, their homeland or their back garden.

Today, we start by exploring the archives of AnOthermag.com, looking back through Jefferson Hack’s series of intimate interviews done through a personalised version of the Proust Questionnaire. Here, we reveal the answers of some of the key participators in the column when asked, “Where do you feel most at home?”

James Franco: “In New York. Or lying down on a couch, anywhere. Reading.”

Tilda Swinton: “In bed.”

Francesco Vezzoli: “Hotel rooms.”

Alison Mosshart: “I haven’t had an answer to that in a long time.”

Gore Vidal: “In sleep.”

"James Franco: “In New York. Or lying down on a couch, anywhere. Reading.”"

Harland Miller: “In Yorkshire, which is my real home.”

Hans Ulrich Obrist: “London and in between, as Camille Bryen said n'être qu'entre.”

Yoko Ono: “Inside myself.”

John Waters: “In un-ironic Baltimore.”

Tracey Emin: “In the water.”

Marisa Berenson: “I am a citizen of the world and feel at home everywhere, but I feel especially at home in Paris, New York, and now I feel at home in Marrakech.”

Courtney Love: “When I buy a house I’ll feel at home. England. Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire. Or London.”

Christian Louboutin: “It’s sad, but in planes at the moment. Otherwise, in Paris.”
