“I would love these little trainers, ideally in every colour but this brown would go very nicely with my Prada brown suede buckle bag!”

“It is of surprise to precisely no one that the one and only thing I want for Christmas is not my two front teeth, but the Chanel plain white poplin shirt – credited on the throwback-to-pre-1954 Gabrielle Chanel-y cursive label as ‘tissu et technique Charvet’, name dropping the 19th-century Parisian shirt maker par excellence. This beauty is weighted with a Chanel chain, cufflinked with Chanel pearls, embroidered with a Chanel monogram and comes in a length perfectly cropped for me. In short, I have rarely wanted anything this much – and would give my eyeteeth (and, indeed, two front teeth) for one. I’ve already put my name down for one (okay, two) when they come in store, but if one were to magically materialise beforehand it would be a true Christmas miracle. As would me not spilling gravy down the front in five seconds.”

“I’ve been repainting my flat which has led to a complete overhaul of my living room decor. This lamp from the Margaret Howell homeware collection would be such a nice addition to the space and the perfect Channukah gift.”

“This time last year I had the most unforgettable trip to Elsa Peretti’s sprawling Spanish home. The Italian jewellery designer lived among her obsessions: objects gathered and collected, mementos heavy with private mythology, all reinforcing her devotion to organic form. It’s impossible not to think of that setting when seeing her sterling silver Teardrop earrings, which resemble either a falling raindrop or a bead of morning dew. They’re entirely faithful to Peretti’s ethos, and would make a Christmas morning feel as indulgent as it should be.”
