Hussein Chalayan: I am interested in identifying the details that bind a garment to a location and the dialogue between identity and place, which are ongoing themes in my work. The archetypal representation of The American Road Trip appealed to me greatly as it offered a rich source of inspiration to drive the exploration of this theme further.
