Piglets Are the Stars of Gucci’s New Campaign

Gucci’s Three Little Pigs Collection

This little piggy goes to the Gucci store

February 5 marks the Chinese New Year, bringing with it 2019’s brand new zodiac: the pig. A symbol of good luck and wealth, Italian house Gucci is paying ode to the animal with a special pig-inspired capsule collection – and accompanying campaign, released this morning, starring a job lot of tiny piglets. Suprisingly, it’s not the first time that the animal has appeared in a Gucci campaign – recently, Harry Styles cradled a piglet and baby goat for the house’s Cruise 2019 Tailoring campaign.

The collection itself takes illustrations from Disney’s Three Little Pigs, the cartoon motif emblazoned across colourful oversized cardigans, watches and polo shirts – as well as across Gucci’s signature double-G monogrammed wallets and bags, comprising 19 pieces in total. Those wishing to get their hands on the exclusive selection should move fast, though: these little piggies won’t be around for long.
