It's Monday once again and to spread a little more sunshine after a glorious weekend, we bring you this amazing series of birds made from flowers by Malaysian artist and architect Red Hong Yi, who showcases her delicate creations on Instagram. Playing on the similarities between petals and feathers, Yi fleshes out her colourful avine creations using petals, leaves and foliage from her back garden, which sounds idyllic in itself – complete with a "little pond", filled with frogs and fishes, and visited by kingfishers. From a proudly plummaged peacock made from gerberas and butterfly pea flowers to a splendid rooster in gerberas and leaves, we hope these floral fledglings help get your Monday off to the best of starts.
