Who? Max Lamb, Eliza Strozyk, Richard Sweeney, Martin and Line Andersen of Andersen M Studio, and Alfred Dunhill.

What? The worlds of fashion and design collide in the touring exhibition of Modern Craftsmanship, presented by The Homes of Alfred Dunhill. A dedicated purveyor of culture and creativity the global Homes will be displaying the exclusive works by four contemporary designers, who each have a combined passion for craftsmanship and new ideas, approaches and methods.

Why? Curated by the renowned creative agency It’s Nice That, each work offers a unique approach to construction: furniture designer Lamb’s Campaign Chair – inspired by the Roorkhee Campaign Chair used by British servicemen from the 1980s until World War II – celebrates true British craftsmanship; Strozyk reconfigures laser cut wood by hand giving her Disrupted Wooden Textile piece the appearance and feel of fabric; Sweeney’s Shell Forms blend hand craft with digital technology through hand-folding watercolour paper to precise and graphical results; and the duo Andersen M Studio reinforce their paper crafting expertise in their intricately made model and stop frame animation, Cloud – exclusively shown on the AnOther site.

Where? Modern Craftsmanship at the Homes of Alfred Dunhill will be on show at the brand’s four Homes in London from 1 – 26 February, Tokyo from 14 March – 9 April, Hong Kong from 25 April – 21st May, and Shanghai from 6 June – 2 July. The exhibition will also be showcased on DAY 8 from February.
