If the cameraphone is a photographer’s best friend then Instagram is undoubtedly the same for the viewer, providing us with a digital porthole into the eyes and practices of our favourite image-makers. This Monday we're presenting photographer Thomas Prior’s Instagram, an unfettered treasure trove of behind-the-scenes outtakes from photoshoots, from his travels and from the darkroom, allowing us an uncensored peek into his world.
Prior’s crisp, intensely human photographs distill his work into the familiar grid format, placing athletic body shapes next to Chinese sunbathers, and happy processing accidents next to a glittering snapshots of fireworks skidding across the sky. It’s a carefully curated selection, placing the best of his portfolio alongside those images which didn’t make it in, and it'll make for a wonderfully technicolour start to your week.
