Regular readers will be aware of our love of abandoned buildings. Our most recent find is this series of abandoned shopping malls in the U.S. Vast empty spaces which speak volumes about consumerism and waste.

Last week I discovered an epic collection of Russian matchbox labels, there are so many good ones you could easily lose a day on this site. The birds and architectural versions are a real delight.

Matthias Schaller has photographed the palettes of the most iconic painters, revealing a little about how they work and, of course, the colours they loved.

Our new instafollow this week is Belarusian artist Tatiana Khlopkova. Her feed is full of witty ideas using everyday objects and her imagination.

Comedian Kim Noble has started a project whereby he amends street signs, as he sees fit. First up is this brilliant edition, which can be viewed in Brockley, S.E. London.
