This Happy Monday we wander the streets of Amsterdam with photographer Dirk Bakker

When we think of the Netherlands we think of tulips, windmills, clogs, bicycles and from today also brilliant architecture. With a background in graphic design and a big love for colour, textures, geometric forms and shadows, Amsterdam-based photographer Dirk Bakker enjoys cycling about town, capturing the harmonious lines of the buildings he stumbles across. For our delight, he also happens to like to share what he sees. From pretty balcony arrangements to infinite staircases, repeated patterns to modular shapes and giant textured walls, scrolling through Bakker’s Instagram account is like viewing the city through an Oktomat lens. It could also be as simple as a suggestive water reflection or curious game of scaffolding: what Bakker wants to prove is that beauty can be found in the humblest things, you just need to look twice. Here we present our favorite symmetrical moments to help get your day off to the most structured of starts.

Happy Monday! #anotherhappymonday
