Who?
Berlin-based, US-born artist Sean Snyder.

What? An analytical exhibition that looks into the circulation of information and imagery within the global media.

Why? Snyder presents a multifaceted show that combines installations, publications, images and video to reflect on the growing fluidity between advancing technologies and online culture. He aims to uncover the shifting, hidden media representations through this project that utilises archival processes and technological sources. Confronting consumerism, the "War on Terror", urban planning and technological growth, the works reveal how certain ideologies are transmitted through a complex web, and question the viability of photographic representation in the age of digital imaging.

When? The Sean Snyder exhibition runs until 13 February 2011 at the Artists Space gallery, New York (closed between 20 December - 4 January).
