Who? Leo Fitzpatrick (artist and actor of Kids and The Wire) reads Rudyard Kipling in severe staccato. Jeffrey Deitch (ex-director of MOCA) constructs a house of cards with artist Tom Sachs, journalist Glenn O'Brien and graffiti artist Andre Saraiva. Petra Collins (photographer) dances, while artist/model Ana Kras plays hand-pong and DILLIGAF founder Othelo Gervacio is fixated on pinball. It's a veritable who's who of the New York art scene – both old and new.
What? A contemporary update on Peggy Guggenheim's mid-century salon culture, the film is shot at Max Fish – a Lower East Side dive bar that has seen guests from Johnny Depp and Iggy Pop to John Ahearn and Mark Flood. Director Aaron Rose explains, "I don’t think anywhere has served as coming together of different art worlds more in New York than Max Fish" – and the short film, laden with allegory and metaphors, unites a disparate group of creatives from the the city for bar games and drinks.

Why? Commissioned by Cos to coincide with their US launch in both LA and New York, The Bubble works as part of a filmic dialogue between the two cities. The second commission, Drive Time (directed by Petra Collins), explores the equivalent and yet contrasting atmosphere of the LA art scene, highlighting and exploring the respective and distinct cultures in each of the bi-coastal capitals.
