This week's Good Things is a celebration of the multi-faceted pleasures of polyhedra

For this week's Good Things we swoop like magpies onto gem inspired artworks and multifaceted shapes. Revel in the pleasures of polyhedra.

Italian artist Moneyless creates mid air polyhedra through the medium of rope. Hanging, as if by magic, they add a sharp new dimension to any landscape.

There are many imitators but Carly Waito is the original gem artist extraordinaire. Hyperreal stones and jewels which are almost better than the real thing.

Lauri Hopkins' collages are the perfect counter to the intricate gems of Carly. Cut paper shapes, in lovely colours, are layered to create an overall feeling of the precious.

It’s hard to find polyhedra-like products for the home, which are nice. Score & Solder have solved the dilemma with their dreamy terrariums.

We love William A Berry’s traditional still life photographs, not just for their painterly quality but also because he inserts models of cubes, dodecahedrons etc in amongst the more standard fruit.

Phillip Low’s acrylic blocks would make fabulous earrings, for those with a resilient ear lobe. With their various glossy planes, made from polished acrylic, they long to be touched.

Finally a little historical context with this book from 1900, hopefully it will inspire you and your shape making needs.
