On Sunday night, Jefferson Hack hosted a special dinner to celebrate the opening of Paradigm Shift at 180 Studios, in partnership with Ray-Ban Meta
Ray-Ban MetaOn Sunday (12 October), Jefferson Hack hosted a special dinner to celebrate the opening of new exhibition Paradigm Shift: New Dimensions in Moving Image, presented by 180 Studios in partnership with Ray-Ban Meta. Kicking off Frieze week, the dinner took place at 180 Strand, and welcomed featured artists from the exhibition, including Gillian Wearing, Mark Leckey, Julianknxx, Josèfa Ntjam, Arthur Jafa, Sophia Al Maria and Babak Radboy.
Paradigm Shift transforms 180 Strand’s vast subterranean spaces to present some of the most acclaimed moving image works from the 1970s to the present, drawing from avant garde cinema, TV, music video, performance, fashion, gaming and internet culture. Curated by Jefferson Hack and Mark Wadhwa in partnership with Ray-Ban Meta, the show features artworks from Sofia Al-Maria, Meriem Bennani, Dara Birnbaum, Foday Dumbuya, Cao Fei, Nan Goldin, Tremaine Emory, Arthur Jafa, Derek Jarman, Julianknxx, Mark Leckey, Josèfa Ntjam, Pipilotti Rist, Martine Syms, Ryan Trecartin, Telfar, Gillian Wearing and Andy Warhol.

Co-curators Jefferson Hack and Mark Wadhwa welcomed prominent figures from the art world including artist Marc Quinn; musician and conceptual artist Fatima Al Qadiri; designer Ben Kelly; choreographer Holly Blakey; gallerist Sadie Coles; artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries, Hans Ulrich Obrist; director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Bengi Ünsal; director of the Chisenhale Gallery, Edward Gillman; and founder and artistic director of CIRCA, Josef O’Connor.

London’s creative scene turned out in force, including stars from the worlds of fashion, music and film such as: Stanley Buchthal; Jan Kennedy; actresses Amybeth McNulty and Bel Priestley; models Alva Claire and Adot Gak; designer Jenna Fletcher; musician Leo Stay Trill; stylist Avena Gallagher; set designer Ibby Njoya; AnOther Magazine’s Susannah Frankel, Katie Shillingford and Alexander Fury; Another Man’s Ellie Grace Cumming; Dazed’s Ted Stansfield, Jack Sunnucks, Emma Davidson, and Emily Dinsdale; editors Mark Sanders, Amelia Abraham and Olivia Singer; Fashion East Founder Lulu Kennedy; Founder of Mason & Fifth Benjamin Prevezer; Camilla Lowther and Charles Aboah; influencer and musician Sabrina Bahsoon and content creator AYAMÉ.

Dinner was curated by renowned chef Mateo Zielonka (also known as The Pasta Man), and the menu featured Zielonka’s tagliolini slow-cooked tomato sauce, braised organic spello lentils and salsa verde greceburn.
