From exclusive interviews, vintage style features, collection reports and rare films, it's been an exciting year for men's fashion on the AnOther Website. We trawled through the archives for our highlights, from explorations of Kurt Cobain's style, embroidered editorial spreads and a brilliant stag reel discovery by Another Man editor Ben Cobb...

1) In March, AnOther Website spoke to stylist Robbie Spencer about his vibrant editorial shoot by Richard Burbridge, with needlework by artist Maurizio Anzeri for the spring/summer 2011 issue of Another Man.

2) On the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind, Menswear Vintage Style considered the style of Kurt Cobain, described by writer Laura Havlin as "thrifted, holey, unwashed, unbranded and missmatched".

3) An exclusive, rare softcore 8mm stag reel from the early 50s, starring the beautiful Bettie Page. Alongside the film, Another Man editor Ben Cobb reveals how he discovered it.

4) Ahead of his Paris womenswear show, Gareth Pugh confided that he really enjoys designing menswear and further explained how he is pushing the boundaries in the fashion film genre in our Menswear Confidential column.

5) In May, Menswear Vintage Style traced the changing style of Mick Jagger, from Ossie Clark jumpsuits and silk paisley shirts to tight high-waisted boxy jeans.

6) AnOther considered Raf Simons' spring/summer 2012 collection which marked 15 years since the designer debuted in Milan. "Raf Simons is a forward-thinking, minimalist designer, feted for his economy of expression. In each of his collections, there are a handful of ideas at work; each of them used sparingly but always cleverly explored", wrote Laura Bradley.

7) To celebrate the release of the autumn/winter 2011 issue of Another Man, editor Ben Cobb shared his favourite quotes from the issue with AnOther Website, from Chloë Sevigny on Robert Mapplethorpe, Peter Saville on the dirty pictures of Count Zichy, David Lynch on the night and Kim Jones on the inspiration for Louis Vuitton Menswear S/S12.

8) Celebrated actor Paul Newman was another subject of the ever-popular Menswear Vintage Style column. "The sun-cracked face and well-worn tan-hide boots, a denim-clad silhouette cast against a Mid-West backdrop, which became the immortal image of the late actor, pre-dated Ralph Lauren’s adoption of the archetypal all-American aesthetic by decades", wrote columnist Laura Havlin.

9) Writer Dean Mayo Davies put together his highlights of the Paris spring/summer 2012 menswear shows, including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Rick Owens, Comme des Garçons and Mugler.

10) AnOther's Fashion Equations, illustrated by Tom Baxter, spread to the men's collections. The first, for Kim Jones' debut Louis Vuitton S/S12 collection combined a red blanket, a traditional shooting stick and the work of artist Peter Beard.
