As the year comes to a close, we look back at our Exclusives highlights from 2011, from Tom Ford's five easy lessons in how to be a modern gentleman, two striking beauty films, Rachel Weisz with a baby goat and Patti Smith's handwritten notes...

3) AnOther Magazine's autumn/winter 2011 cover star Rachel Weisz featured in a short film by Craig McDean, with series of non-narrative micro performances,  inspired by postmodern dance legend Pina Bausch. Read about Weisz's cover companian, Sheena the Alpine goat here.

4) Six standout collections from the February Central Saint Martin's Masters in Fashion graduate show, including Phoebe English, were styled by Cathy Edwards and photographed by Ben Toms in The Masters.

"Looking to the Future showcased portraits and films of the UK’s critically acclaimed Andrea Riseborough, Louisville-raised Jennifer Lawrence, French up-and-comer Léa Seydoux and Australian-born Mia Wasikowska"

5) For the debut issue in its second decade, the spring/summer 2011 issue of AnOther Magazine looked towards the future of cinema, celebrating an international A-list of rising young actresses. AnOther Website's Looking to the Future showcased portraits and films of the UK’s critically acclaimed Andrea Riseborough, Louisville-raised Jennifer Lawrence, French up-and-comer Léa Seydoux and Australian-born Mia Wasikowska.

6) This summer, artist Julie Verhoeven gave a surreal spin on a selection of women's and men's beauty and grooming products, in a film entitled If You're Happy and You Know It,  inspired by the work of artist Patrick Hughes.

7) To celebrate the release of a film version of Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood, rising star Kiko Mizohara featured in an intimate digital portrait at the start of 2011.

8) Celebrating the dramatic red visages created by make-up artist Pat McGrath for Viktor & Rolf's A/W11 show, AnOther presented KT Auleta's thundering beauty film entitled Battle for the Sun.

9) This week saw the release of D.I.Y. Project in collaboration with Rag & Bone, featuring Susie Bick, Anna Calvi, Quentin Jones, Tali Lennox and Aymeline Valade in a series of candid portraits and films.

10) In October, Hollywood heartthrob Michael Pitt featured on the cover of the autumn/winter 2011 issue of Another Man, interviewed by the high priestess of punk and friend Patti Smith. AnOther Website revealed the story behind their meeting – when the dictaphone didn't record, Smith had to rely on her memory and a book of handrwitten notes.
