Who? Peter Philips, the Belgian-born creative director of Chanel make-up who works closely with Karl Lagerfeld on the make-up for each show and campaigns, as well as overseeing the house's burgeoning beauty range.

What? We couldn't help ignore the make-up looks in the Paris-Bombay entitled Metiers D'Arts show earlier this week set off beautifully by Chanel tikkas. Philips explained the beauty asthetic as "a graphic interpretation of an iconic Indian beauty ideal. Something between mysterious and rock 'n' roll".

Why? Whilst there will be a wait for the clothes, the make-up looks can easily be achieved. Philips revealed each of the elements to AnOther: "I kept the focus on the eyes – I achieved a matte pitch black make-up result by using a new shade of Illusion d'Ombre called Nirvana; I used Le Crayon Khôl in Black for the eyes and Mascara Inimitable Intense in Black on the lashes. For skin, I used Perfection Lumière and for the cheeks I used a touch of Joues Contraste in Brume d'Or. On the lips, I applied Rouge Coco Shine in Empreinte for a natural dewy lip."

"Last minute, I added some golden highlights on the cheeks and the eyes with Route des Indes de Chanel, a limited edition pallet that I specially created for this show.
For the nails I created a new light golden shade called Le Vernis – Diwali as homage to the famous "Festival of lights" that takes place in India."
