Earlier this month, the London-based, women-led creative gallery space and online concept store Have A Butchers launched an online charity print sale in aid of the children affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. In association with HEMPSTEADMAY, over 100 photographers are selling prints for £50, with proceeds being donated to charities working on the ground.
“With one million children in Gaza now facing a critical protection and humanitarian crisis, the delivery of water is a matter of life or death,” said UNICEF executive director Catherine Russell. Answering the call for urgent humanitarian aid, photographers including Alastair Thain, Alec Soth, Bex Day, Camille Vivier, Jack Davison, Jamie Hawkesworth, Michal Pudelka, and Venetia Scott have lent their images, and a sponsorship from Hahnemühle has supported the production of the 10” by 8” prints.
“Together our small team is trying to reach as many people as possible with this print sale with the collective aim of raising funds to protect children of Gaza. No child deserves to suffer and the current crisis is heartbreaking,” says the creative director of Have a Butchers. Due to demand, the sale has been extended to December 17.
