Acclaimed instagram artist Doug Abraham’s collages for the new A/W14 issue of Another Man capture a surrealist blend of fashion and popular culture, splicing catwalk images of Chanel, Jil Sander and Prada with the likes of gimp masks, robots, medieval armour and computer games. The off-the-wall mix captures the eclecticism of the collections and is signature to Abraham’s idiosyncratic work, laced with punk spirit and humour. In celebration of the new issue, we asked another of our favourite online artists Greta Larkin, AKA FASHGIF, to transform each collage into a GIF. “My focus was on finding an element of surprise within the already detailed collages,” she explains. “To ensure that the animations added to the images rather than becoming overwhelming or distracting from their meaning.”
