Originally published in 2003 for their ten year anniversary, Viktor & Rolf’s NºE magazine celebrated their world with a decade of press coverage from many of the world’s most esteemed publications. Accompanying their exhibition Premiere Décennie at the Musée de la Mode et du Textile in Paris, the magazine is a rather unconventional break from the other A,B,C,D issues, but nonetheless provides a broad sweep across the collections and projects undertaken by the dangerous Dutch duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

From the editors:
Welcome to Viktor & Rolf’s anniversary celebration! We’re using this very special occasion to take you on a trip through 10 years of our work, picked out here in our favourite clippings from magazines and newspapers.
Since we were boys, fashion has seemed to send us a magical and glamorous place – a place we’d like you to discover for yourself in the images and ideas we’ve collected. Fashion is the secret garden in which we can always find pleasure, even if our spirits are low. In this one-off magazine we invite you to visit this enchanted place with us…
It’s part of expressing how grateful we are to have reached this point: we’ve never quite been sure if we would live up to the fashion world’s strict rules and requirements. While infiltrating the business with our ideas, we’ve worked hard to maintain our love for fashion, to continue a tender exploration of the object of our affections. We hope that tenderness and love is expressed in these pages.
Media coverage is essential to understanding our engagements with the fashion world through the last years. We have always been fascinated by the press we get (and lack of it!)- perhaps because our work only seems to exist once it has been published. The media breathes life into fashion.
We hope you enjoy our anniversary celebration
x
