I'm sat at home scanning through a tonne of negs from Japan, quite a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon really, and thought I'd post a couple from the famous Tottori sand dunes. Almost deserted at 6pm, during the day there's a camel and flocks of tourists. It's also the location of the dunes featured in the film version of Kobo Abe's
'The Woman In The Dunes'. It is a stunning novel, bleak and visceral.
