An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Dazed Group for a Commissioning Editor to become part of its industry-leading fashion and editorial team, working across the AnOther Website and AnOther Magazine.
 
Reporting to the Editor in Chief and the Editor and working alongside the Picture Editor and the fashion, editorial and art departments, the successful candidate will have at least 1-2 year of relevant experience at a similar level and a proven track record of successfully commissioning and editing top quality publications and/or websites.
 
They will be brimming with ideas and have a bulging contacts book, as well as established relationships with writers and prs.
 
They will have an awareness of AnOther Magazine’s aesthetic, and the ability to fit into a fast-moving and highly creative environment.

Key elements of the role:

Website

• Managing the daily Current schedule and monthly Exclusives schedule with the editor
• Commissioning, developing and editing articles for Current – 2-3 articles per day
• Maintaining a list of regular contributors and maintaining a relationship with them.
• Managing contributors, setting deadlines and fees and make sure they understand editorial requirements
• Sourcing content (preferably exclusive) video/photographic/textual that we can use on the site (with the photo editor)
• Writing, editing and uploading articles for the site and helping edit and write headlines and standfirsts, picture captions.
• Soliciting one-of contributions from high profile bloggers/musicians/artists
• Scheduling talent for exclusives with the editor
• Writing press releases and working with the press and marketing dept. to help promote the site through press activity
• Managing the social networking sites with the digital marketing co-ordinator.
• Managing AnOther Loves and Reader
• Managing the online editorial budget
• Liaising with the Ad Team to keep them informed about the site and help them in developing ideas to assist pitching, closing and building the revenue generating relationships for AnOtherMag.com
• Project Managing editorial content for digital projects  and assisting the commercial team on AnOtherMag.com special projects.
• Compiling the weekly newsletter
• Working with the editor and web team to develop interactivity on the site

Magazine

• Keeping abreast of fashion and culture events of interest to AnOther readers
• Writing articles for the magazine and helping edit and write headlines and standfirsts, picture captions
• Liaising with the AnOther Magazine/ Man fashion and editorial teams to keep everyone informed about the site and to develop article and feature ideas with them
• Maintaining a relationship with PRs and other information sources
• Supporting the editor with editorial ideas for the issue

Photographic Producer

AnOther Magazine / AnOther Man / AnOther Website

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Dazed Group for a Photographic Producer to become part of its industry-leading fashion and photographic team, working across AnOther Magazine, AnOther Man and Another Website.
 
Reporting to the Editor in Chief and the Creative Director and working alongside the Picture Editor and the fashion, editorial and art departments, the Photographic Producer will be responsible for managing the full photographic production process of the fashion content of the magazine and website.
 
The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience at a similar level and a proven track record of successfully producing top quality shoots from conception to completion, on time and on budget.
 
They will be brimming with ideas and have a bulging contacts book, as well as established relationships with photographic, production, location and casting agents.  
 
They will have an awareness of AnOther Magazine’s aesthetic, and the ability to fit into a fast-moving and highly creative environment.

Key elements of the role:

• Liaising with agents, photographers, stylists, hair, make-up, model and location agents and putting options in place
• Making sure shoots come in on budget working with the publishers and finance department
• Maintaining direct and clear channels of communication with the creative teams and the production department
• Ensuring photographic content is delivered in the format and to the schedules set by the production department
• Handling rights and usage and agreements
• Producing film requirements in conjunction with the photographic content
• Work with the advertising department to put together proposals and manage advertorial photographic shoots
