Jefferson Hack celebrates the 25th issue of AnOther Magazine with a Through the Looking Glass themed party in London

To celebrate the launch of the latest issue of AnOther Magazine, Jefferson Hack invited a phalanx of stars to join him on a journey down the rabbit hole into an extraordinary fantasy world. Inspired by the classic fairytale, guests were beckoned "Through the Looking Glass" into Mayfair club LouLou’s, which had been transformed by the nightclub’s creative team into a veritable wonderland complete with vine covered walls bedecked in flowers, a delectable Mad Hatter’s Tea Party starring battenburg cake, raspberry macaroons and chocolate chess pieces, a train carriage complete with a trundling bucolic view and a bereft Walrus on the hunt for his Carpenter.

"Held to mark the release of the 25th issue of the magazine, Hack invited 25 of London’s brightest artists, actresses, models and musicians to host the event"

Held to mark the release of the 25th issue of the magazine, Hack invited 25 of London’s brightest artists, actresses, models and musicians to host the event, including Alison Mosshart, Amanda Harlech, Arizona Muse, Bella Freud, Beth Ditto, Charlotte Tilbury, Daphne Guinness, Edie Campbell, Felicity Jones, Georgia May Jagger, Josephine de la Baume, Kate Moss, Katy England, Katie Shillingford, Laura Bailey, Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, Polly Morgan, Poppy Delevingne, Romy XX, Sienna Miller, Sue Webster and Suki Waterhouse. They were joined for Ruinart champagne and Belvedere vodka earl grey cocktails by guests including David and Victoria Beckham, Suzy Menkes, Natalie Massenet, Leigh Lezark, Matthew Stone, Gareth Pugh, Jamie Hince, Bobby Gillespie, Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley and Stefano Tonchi.

The dress code ("fantasy") was taken very seriously, with standouts including Katie Shillingford’s glittering Gareth Pugh armoured mini-dress, Edie Campbell’s homage to Buttons, Georgia May Jagger as a Vivienne Westwood-clad Alice and Natalie Massenet's crystal Maison Martin Margiela face mask. At 11pm, the party converged on the dance floor where Arizona Muse was crowned Queen of Wonderland as part of her birthday celebrations, and blew out the candles on a many-tiered cake by Lily Vanilli, before DJs Milo Speedwagon, Jim Stanton of Horse Meat Disco and David and Stefan Dewaele of 2manydjs ensured that everyone was dancing until the early hours.

A special thanks to McQueens florist who kindly provided beautiful bouquets for our hosts, and to Ruinart and Belvedere for the delicious drinks.

The A/W13 issue of AnOther Magazine is on sale now.
