An assorted mix of amorous objects just in time for February 14

Spurred on by the impending arrival of Valentine's Day, this week the AnOther team took to turning the @anotherloves stream into a hub of love and intimacy themed objects of desire. The resulting array is refreshingly diverse, from diamond-dusted Warhols to heart-punched jeans and perfect plant pairings. Here are five of our favourites to love and be loved.

If you're going to embrace festive dressing this Sunday, you might as well do it properly. And these 70s-inspired, flared jeans by Ashish – with multiple, red-trimmed hearts that cut away to reveal the legs beneath – hit all the right notes, ironic-cum-alluring.

No matter what the occasion, supple and sensuously fragranced skin is never a bad thing, and Le Labo's Oud 27 Body Oil is a real post-bathing, pre-date essential. "The amazing thing about the Le Labo oil is that it's really dry, so you don't end up all greasy but just super-soft with a deliciously musky scent," notes AnOther Lover Olivia Singer. "Quite sexy."

If money were no object, what could please a loved one more than an original Warhol, sprinkled in diamond dust (a man of half-measures Mr Warhol was not)? As Lover Maisie Skidmore points out, "A dream gift for anybody who believes – as I do – that diamonds are better hung on the wall than worn about one’s person."

Rather than the staidly traditional choice of red roses, why not go a little more conceptual in your choice of plant-centric presents this weekend? Lauded London florist and AnOther collaborator Grace & Thorn offers Heart-Shaped Philodendrons and a gently trailing String of Hearts, which look particularly lovely as a pair. As AnOther's Natalie Rigg observes..."A tender focal point of any living room – and surprisingly low-maintenance."

Chocolate-giving has to be done thoughtfully – no one wants a box of stale Roses, scooped up from the local corner shop at the last minute. If in doubt, Maison Pierre Marcolini is always a delectable, and beautifully-presented, choice. We recommend their box of chocolate hearts, 36 to be precise, boasting six flavours, which range from Coeur Frisson (canary yellow with a citrussy centre) to Coeur Plaisir (a deep burgundy, flavoured with pistachio).
