Winners of the 2009 BFC Swarovski Emerging Talent Award for ready-to-wear, Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos – the designers behind the Peter Pilotto fashion house – collaborated with AnOther Magazine and Mismo to produce their first ever bag. Having initiated the digital print trend with their S/S09 collection, the design duo wanted this classic shopper bag to be “an abstract explosion of colour” and employed a nature-inspired print from their A/W09 collection. Filmmaker Pierre Debusschere, informed by the bold red and blue colours of the print and the influence of nature on the design, used wind, fabric and coloured smoke for his short film interpretation of the bag. Supermodel Anouck Lepere plays sensuously with the fabric, letting it skim her face and naked body as the wind presses it against her.
