There's something distinctly magical about bridges; the idea of man defying nature and making the unreachable reachable – suspending ourselves in mid-air, often with jelly-leg-inducing drops below, in order to do so. This Happy Monday, we're celebrating these remarkable feats of engineering, showcasing some of our favourite, most beautifully located footbridges from around the globe. From the idyllic stone bridge linking one side of the Italy's island of Gaiola to the other to Kyoto's cherry blossom decked overpass, we hope these wonderful walkways help to get your week off to a cheery start.
