On Saturday night, after a fabulous few days of events, Art Basel Miami reached its climax with the launch of Marco Brambilla’s Evolution (Megaplex), during an exclusive screening hosted by Jefferson Hack and André Balazs, at the Standard Hotel & Spa on Miami Beach, with Perrier Societe, MAC and Armani Exchange.

Carrying on from where its sprawling predecessor Civilization left off, Evolution (Megaplex) is Brambilla’s latest epic undertaking, a stereoscopic 3D pop art extravaganza which charts the history of humankind using over 600 archive cinema clips in a vast, apocalyptic montage which is as grand in scope as Hieronymus Bosch.

Watching the video collage behind 3D aviators provided by the Armani Exchange, were the great and the good of the art, music, literature and fashion worlds, such as Michael Stipe, Anouck Lepere, Bob Colacello, and Jay Joplin.
