Catch Bruce Weber's new film at the Yves Saint Laurent menswear show
Today, Bruce Weber’s short film Ain’t Nothin’ Like the Real Thing will debut at the Yves Saint Laurent menswear A/W10 show in Paris.
Weber has been capturing the beauty of male youth in photography and film since his first work for GQ magazine in the Seventies. Last year, he published Roberto Bolle: An Athlete in Tights, which documented the legendary dancer’s “acceptance of his body as art.” In this most recent work, the male body is again presented for our admiration: male models are filmed in intimate settings; and in one scene illustrated in this sneak preview given to us by YSL, Paolo Anchisi who YSL have a worldwide exclusive on this season, lies topless on the floor, looking innocently at nude pictures of women.
The film will be available to watch on YSL.com from 4pm (CET). A trailor featuring a behind-the-scenes tour of Weber’s film and backstage images from the show’s preparations will be available to watch online when the show starts at 12.30pm (CET).
