Gaming meets great artworks in artist Adam Lister's geometric watercolours

Inspired by the 8-bit graphics of old school Nintendo and Atari video games, New York artist Adam Lister creates brilliantly simple watercolours that reimagine iconic images from art history and pop culture to pixelated perfection. Munch's screaming protagonist wouldn't look out of place in a Super Mario game while Picasso's Demoiselles d'Avignon couldn't fail to impress the Cubist pioneer their creator would become. Funny, creative and aesthetically pleasing, we hope this particularly retro retrospective help to get your week off to the best of starts.

Happy Monday! #anotherhappymonday
